Dance Movement Therapist

I believe that therapy is a relational experience, where we collaboratively engage on a journey to explore, uncover, investigate, and process life experiences. My approach as a therapist is grounded in the blending of an embodied focus and verbal processing of experiences and learning skills. I am a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have had the privilege of supporting clients in a variety of settings for the past 20 years. I support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate anxiety, depression, life stressors, grief and loss, pregnancy and parenting, and trauma.
My work with clients is collaborative with a goal to guide you in uncovering new aspects of yourself on your healing journey. As a therapist, I aim to be a calm, direct, supportive, goal-oriented presence tapping into and highlighting your strengths. I believe in acknowledging the wins along the way, big and small. I often guide clients in exploring the impact of family dynamics and exploring the imprints our early developmental experiences have had on our lives.
Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work in non-profit executive leadership, provide wellness and DE&I training, to be trained as a community based and private birth doula, and to act as editor-in-chief for a peer reviewed research journal. These aligned skills and opportunities compliment my capacity and focus as a therapist.
I look forward to working with you and being a part of your wellness journey
