Mosaic is proud to offer our clients the option of Telehealth for many reasons. Telehealth is simply therapy via video, also known as “virtual therapy”, providing clients the opportunity to have therapy from their own home. With work and personal schedules changing greatly in the past few years, Telehealth has proven a flexible and convenient solution to better accommodate scheduling needs, transportation logistics, work/life balance, childcare, and more. For many, Telehealth creates the comfortable space needed for deeply therapeutic work, and research has proven Telehealth is just as clinically effective as in-person therapy. Mosaic continues to uphold the industry’s best practices for Telehealth so that our clients can have options that work for them to meet their mental health goals.
Wondering if Telehealth is right for you?
Complete the new client intake form and indicate your interest in Telehealth therapy. One of our team members will reach out to you to learn more about your mental health goals and discuss what Telehealth will look like at Mosaic in more detail.
Whether you are new to the concept of telehealth or seeking more information about how it works, we aim to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about online therapy.
We get that question a lot! While the term “tele” suggests the telephone, video/virtual therapy is actually a more effective form of therapy and is recommended for your Telehealth experience at Mosaic.
Simply put, Telehealth greatly improves access to mental healthcare. Transportation, childcare, scheduling, work, and personal obligations can create an unfortunate barrier to regularly attending in-person therapy. Telehealth can save time, money, and logistical stress by creating a similar therapy experience from the comfort of your own home.
Absolutely. Our therapists offer a quick 10-15 minute phone call or video call to briefly discuss therapy goals, as well as how Telehealth would look. We like to suggest a “check the vibes” meeting with your potential therapist, as the no.1 factor of a successful therapy experience is your relationship with your therapist.
Telehealth services provided by Mosaic are conducted according to the highest clinical and ethical standards, and our video platform is fully HIPAA-compliant. Your therapist will be in a private room for your therapy on their end, ensuring the same privacy they would for an in-person session. You will be encouraged to find as private a space as possible for yourself, as that is recommended for the best Telehealth experience.
Yes. All insurance companies with whom we are in network (Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Medicare, and United) reimburse for Telehealth.
Whether it is to discuss your therapy modality options, or any other therapy needs, our clients are always encouraged to advocate for their needs with their therapist. If you feel like Telehealth isn’t a good fit, please discuss with your therapist, and your therapist will best accommodate you as their schedule allows.
