I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I help clients determine what isn’t working in their lives and serve as a guide to help find improvements, whether through advocating for themselves, finding better coping strategies, investigating different parts of themselves, or through other modalities I use in my practice. I enjoy working with all ages. I am passionate about helping people struggling with ADHD symptoms, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, body image, and life transitions. In my clinical work, one modality I draw from is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Using ACT components such as mindfulness, self-compassion, values, and diffusion from thoughts, I guide clients in accepting their internal experiences, while empowering them to make changes that lead to a life worth living. I began my professional life in television production and went back to school to be a counselor after feeling called to do more meaningful work. I received my master’s degree from Concordia University Chicago in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Having lived in Europe and Asia, I have a multicultural lens from which I work. I believe everyone is unique and tailor sessions to the individual. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I am currently accepting clients of all age groups, including children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
