Nathanael Dunn

Hi, I’m Nathanael, and I believe that every person makes sense, regardless of what symptoms they may be experiencing. Therapy can be a tool for facilitating the understanding and healing necessary for flourishing. I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating trauma, relationship challenges, addictions, and ADHD. Using an attachment-based lens, I help clients make sense of their experiences and emotions in validating and empowering ways. I use Child-centered Play Therapy with children to create a safe, supportive environment where they can express themselves and work through challenges in developmentally appropriate ways. As a clinical intern and master’s-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student, I bring fresh perspectives and dedication to my work. Much of my experience has been with couples, helping them improve communication and rebuild trust. I’ve also supported clients facing the challenges of addiction, creating a safe space to explore and address their patterns. I am available to meet with clients in person at Mosaic’s Oak Park location and would be honored to join you or your family on the journey toward clarity, connection, and self-understanding.
