Skyler Budny
MA
Hello! My name is Skyler and I’m a therapist at Mosaic. I believe that building a strong, healthy relationship is key in the healing process. Providing a safe and supportive environment will help clients feel more comfortable expressing themselves and sharing their stories. I operate out of a client-centered approach to counseling, meaning I show an empathetic understanding to my clients and provide them with unconditional support. Additionally, I draw from attachment theory, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Also utilizes play and art therapy techniques aimed at allowing individuals to use a creative approach to expressing themselves and their inner feelings. Building confidence and strength within oneself is key to helping individuals grow.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and emerging adults, along with families. I address areas such as ADHD, executive functioning, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, school refusal, self-esteem.
I hold a graduate degree from Benedictine University in Clinical Psychology. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, walking my dog and adding onto my cactus collection.
