Welcome to the first step in this therapeutic journey! My approach to the work is filled with compassion, calm, and a dedication to guiding individuals towards holistic healing through a combination of evidence-based talk therapy methods and creative expression. Together, we will explore and process at your pace to build the trust and support necessary to do the hard work for lasting change.
I have found sessions to be a place where we can find a path of peace through the tumultuous years of adolescence and adulthood, either using words or art materials to bring inner tranquility. Through compassionate listening and insightful reflection, clients can uncover their innate strengths, rewrite their narratives, build resilience, and reclaim their sense of agency. By bringing the creation of art to a therapeutic environment, clients can deepen the relationship to oneself by connecting with thoughts and feelings that are the answers to our current stressors. There is no requirement to be an artist or have experience with materials to try art therapy and I strive to make the space safe, comfortable, relaxing, and free of judgement.
My educational journey began at Colorado State University with a BS in psychology and continued at Adler University for a Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy. I have experience working in the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings with a variety of populations in groups, individual sessions, and family sessions. Along the way, I have supplemented my formal career with figure sculpting and ceramics to continue to foster the creative processes I so firmly believe in.

The theoretical approaches I align with include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, motivational interviewing, theories of attachment, and trauma informed care. I can provide support with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, academic stress, family conflict, and neurodivergence with adolescents and young adults.
Therapy with me works best with clients who are motivated, looking to gain insight, and wanting a space to relieve stress. My hope is to create an environment where people can find themselves validated and empowered to make meaningful, long-lasting change in line with their values.
“Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further.” Keith Haring
