PMNP-BC
I grew up in California where I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology at Sonoma State University. After graduating I began working in Social Services, managing Community Integrated Living Arrangements for adults with intellectual disabilities. This work introduced me to the world of mental health treatment and advocacy. With over 3 years of managing residential facilities and providing case management for residents I gained a deep passion for working in the field of mental health and quality psychiatric treatment. In a quest to learn more about psychiatry, I transitioned from social services to nursing. I earned both an Associates degree and a Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatry at University of Illinois Chicago. - UIC. Throughout my training, I worked in direct care within intensive psychiatric settings providing psychiatric care and treatment to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
I am now a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and have worked for the past 3 years with patients of all ages, focusing primarily on Children and Adolescents in Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program settings. I am incredibly passionate about working with both families and individuals in their mental health journey. Through my training and experience, I believe in partnering with individuals and families as they explore their diagnoses and the healing benefits of both therapy and medication.
I am thrilled to be working with the Mosaic team wherein we can provide holistic and truly coordinated care. I immensely enjoy contributing to a practice which is focused on the well-being of the local community and our members.
