Teena Thomas
LSW
Hello! My name is Teena Thomas. I've spent the last 7 years working in community mental health and education. My therapeutic approach can be described as person-centered, collaborative, and multicultural.
I aim to provide a space where clients feel safe, heard, and accepted. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I love to utilize creative activities to help the hard work make more sense and feel more approachable, no matter your age.
Together, we will work to find attainable goals and learn coping skills to meet your unique needs. This part of therapy can often feel intimidating. My role as your therapist is to nurture your growth to reveal a wildly capable version of yourself. Your story is unique and important, and I am honored to share this space of healing with you!
I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
