Grief is a normal response to a major loss, such as the death of a loved one, losing a job, a relationship, hopes, dreams, or other things that of value. Grief is often seen with individuals facing serious, long-term illness or the process of aging and losing independence. It may include feelings of great sadness, anger, guilt, and despair. Powerful feelings of grief and loss are so normal and natural that they are typically not given a ‘diagnosis’ like other conditions such as anxiety or depression. Working through grief can be difficult and yet an important part of the human experience. The team at Mosaic is here to help as you care for yourself.
